Morton Plant North Bay Hospital’s doctors, nurses, and dedicated team create a continuous environment of healing and caring that improves the quality of health care and the well-being of future generations. The community, in turn, provides a continuous circle of giving to support new health initiatives and cutting-edge technology that each resident and patient deserves.
Morton Plant North Bay Hospital is the birthplace of West Pasco County health care. Opened as a 50-bed facility in September 1965, today Morton Plant North Bay Hospital has 154 beds and the campus size has nearly doubled. This enables us to offer more services, improved technology and greater convenience for all of your medical needs.
Morton Plant North Bay Hospital has been expanding to a modern community-based medical complex since 2010, when the hospital opened the four-story, 56,000 square-foot Starkey Medical Tower with all new private patient rooms and a three-story, 45,000 square-foot Medical Arts Building. In 2013 the hospital opened a new surgical center featuring six larger, integrated operating suites, which added 25,000 square feet to the hospital. That followed the addition of a new 9,750 square-foot cardiovascular center in 2011.
Gold Circle Society members are recognized on the hospital’s donor Wall of Honor in the Jim Mitchell Family Lobby.
