Description
This inaugural 5k family friendly run/walk in Clearwater and presented by Urology Specialists of West Florida will benefit Prostate Cancer programs at the hospitals of Morton Plant Mease. According to the American Cancer Society, prostate cancer is the second most common type of cancer found in American men. One out of every six males will be diagnosed with the disease. At Morton Plant Mease, we offer prostate cancer patients the most advanced treatment options available to combat the disease, including robotic-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomies and ultrasound-guided seed implantation. Additional treatment options include traditional surgery to remove the prostate gland, external beam radiation therapy and hormone therapy.
